Windows Workstation Operating Systems

The Windows Message Queuing component must be manually installed on the machine(s) hosting the Workflow Server and Subscriber.

To install this component

  1. From the Charms Bar, select Settings.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Select Programs and Features.

    4. Note: If Programs and Features is not displayed, select Programs, then Programs and Features.

  4. Select ClosedTurn Windows features on or off.

  5. In the Windows Features dialog box, expand Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server and Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server Core.
  6. Select Closed Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server Core and one other sub component.

    7. Note: The minimum feature required for Microsoft Message Queuing on Windows 8 is Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server Core. If you do not select at least one sub component under Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) Server Core it will not be installed.

  7. Click OK to begin the installation. You may be asked to insert your Windows Installation CD. You may be prompted to restart the computer.
